So, I took my spoiled SD out to see the movie "Twilight", which she has been begging me to see for quite some time.  She is totally in love with the main male character, Edward Cullen.  a1.vox.com/6a00d10a7cbf928bfa00f48cf460f90002-500pi He is the menacing looking guy in front.  Quite honestly, I think it is funny and cute.  She is much more in love with the idea of romance than vampires, so I think it is more of a tween crush than anything.  I caught her looking up pictures of him  today (awww, her first crush!!)

So, then she starts to ask me about which tween crushes I had.  I had to think for a minute, since I am now31, and that was a long time ago now (just give me a cane!).  So, my main one then, and still today, is Keanu Reeves.  Yes, I have heard he was gay, and no I don't care.  He was hot in "Point Break" and still hot in "The Day the Earth Stood Still".  Then there was the two Cory's: Haim and Feldman.  My friend reminded me of ex-hottie Christian Slater, especially in "Gleaming the Cube".   And I had a soft spot in my heart for Lou Diamond Phillips, especially in Young Guns Two (duh, latin/native american man?). i87.photobucket.com/albums/k121/sadiethegoat/Lou_Diamond_Phillips7.jpg Of course he is less atractive now that he looks 50.images.starpulse.com/pictures/2007/03/30/previews/Lou%20Diamond%20Phillips-SGS-027647.jpg  This of course leaves me with little hope for the future, because if he is unattractive, then what about me?!?  I have seen IT's father and grandfather.  The father is still fairly attractive at 56 (I say fairly, because as my FIL I cannot allow myself to find that man attractive) and the grandfather is still going strong at 78.

But I favorite crushes were not movie related.  Rather, I immersed myself into the late '80's / early '90's hair and grunge metal scenes.  The hottest singer back then to me was John Bon Jovi.  I showed a picture of him in all his '80's glory to SD, and she says, and I Quote:

"I'm confused.  Is that a boy or a girl?"

Then, I found out Fuse, a music channel, was playing the movie, "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure".  It was the first movie I ever saw Keanu Reeves in.  I was 12 years old and hooked.  We all watched it together, and SD groaned while SO and I could recite the lines.  All I can say is "Generation Gap".  Then, they played, "B & T's Bogus Journey".  Wow.  stupid.  I wanted to hate the 1st movie just b/c the sequal was so bad; however I could not allow myself to do this.
