Here I am, sitting here at my first night of cable TV. Which is fitting, since from what I understand, we are having the STORM OF THE YEAR!!! *Yawn*. 8-13 inches of snow. I am watching platimun weddings. Last time I did this, I found it to be very depressing to think that I could never have a wedding like this. This time, I don't know if this is the economy, or a friend's LJ post, but I find these weddings to be a waste of $$. I do not judge the fact that these couples are doing this; I understand that spending $$ like this for them is like maybe buying a used car for most people - a big deal, but not enough to make a huge dent in their pocket (right now my used car is hurting me in the wallet, so this is just an example).
Just for me, seeing all of these flowers being used for just one day - I would rather see these flowers in the earth. I already thought about it - I want beautiful stones at my wedding - they can be returned to the earth unharmed. Also, just seeing all of the used custom drapery (not drapery used for other weddings) I just thnk that it is a lot of wasted fabric. I wanted an outside wedding - this way, there's a lot less work to be done for the beauty of the surroundings. OK, I love this but lemme see that else is on. I'm really loving this cable thing! Wait, the ceremony is about to start.
Now, the photo booth this couple has is HOOOTTT! And I do admit, I love the black and red theme, although I would go more for the bordello/punk look. You know, not usual? NOw we are watching the couple's grand entrance. *Vomit* getting carried in by 4 people? Last time I looked this is not Egypt and my name is not Cleopatra. So, NO I would not want that, Oh well to each their own. I understand that people, American's especially, have this idea in their head to feel like a "king" for a day, but we gotta get over that. I must admit I like the idea of a hot dance reception. That's what I am talking about - I want my guests to have fun!
